Rimandato al 26-29 agosto 2020 il Congresso del World Institute of Pain
Era programmato a Roma dal 20 al 23 maggio prossimi.
Dear WIP Friends and Colleagues,
As you are surely aware, the everyday life of a large portion of the world's population is now being influenced by the COVID-19 pandemic. Schools and businesses are temporarily closing, the global transportation infrastructure is severely interrupted, and of course, as physicians, our knowledge and expertise are in high demand at our primary workplaces. As a society of health professionals, it is imperative that WIP do everything it can to support the efforts of our members to fight this pandemic, improve health worldwide, and reduce pain and suffering wherever possible.
For these reasons, the Executive Board, during the yesterday meeting, has decided to postpone the World Congress in Rome. We have chosen the new dates of 26-29 August 2020, and we hope to preserve as much of the program as possible completely unchanged. We are very sorry for any inconvenience this might cause, but we very much appreciate your flexibility and understanding during these challenging and unprecedented times.
We are very excited about the high quality of the lectures, abstracts and presentations that have already been submitted. Likewise, we are very grateful for the enthusiastic support we have received from our sponsors and exhibitors. We hope that everyone will still be able to join us in beautiful Roma in August, once this terrible outbreak has been brought under control. In case you could not, and have already registered, please feel free to ask for the reimbursement of your registration fees to More & More.
WIP also extends our profoundest sympathies to everyone afflicted with COVID-19, and we send you our best wishes for a speedy and complete recovery.
